For many, retirement usually means retreating from the stresses of work - but not for an ambitious group of volunteers from the Aircraft Preservation Society Scotland (APSS) at East Fortune, who are nearing the end of a mammoth project to build and fly a full scale replica Sopwith 1 ½ Strutter. With the generosity of the general public, the World War One biplane could take to the skies later this year. Huw Hopkins reports for GAR.
