Happy Birthday Belgian Air Force and Beauvechain Air Base

 

This October 24th, the Belgian Air Force and the Beauvechain Air Base organized a ceremony to celebrate their common anniversary. In a typical Air Force Spirit, the CO of Comopsair addressed the troops and the assistance. He reminded the evolution of Comopsair since her modest beginnings until our days. and the essential roles of the flexible and effective units which are yesterday as today in the service of the country. The planned flypast was limited  to the passage of F-16’s due to the meteorological bad conditions. The CO of the base then revealed a monument constituted by a wing of F-104 which will remind the presence of the base since 70 years. The day ended by a reception  where  former airmen, current aviators and friends celebrated this memorable event.
