"Flight in mind" sculpture taken to art foundry
The sculpture "Flight in mind" by artist Olivier Strebelle has been moved from Brussels Airport to the Belgian art foundry Art Casting in Oudenaarde. The sculpture was damaged during the attacks at the airport on 22 March and will, in the months ahead, be restored in the foundry with the intention of giving it a new location at the airport. The sculpture will be given a place outside the terminal, but it is not yet known precisely where this will be.

The PassPort building is currently under construction and will be providing ultramodern offices with a sweeping panoramic view overlooking the runways as from 2018. This again sees Brussels Airport confirm its appeal as an intermodal platform with unrivalled connectivity in Belgium and to the rest of the globe.

Airside Pharma Transporter of Brussels Airport pursues its innovations
Large foreign interest for transporter at TIACA Air Cargo Forum
Brussels Airport presented the renewed "Airside Pharma Transporter" at the TIACA Air Cargo Forum in Paris. The transporter has been further innovated and now operates with solar panels so that the refrigerated unit can adopt or retain the required temperature at any time. Thanks to this innovation, the transporter is not only energy neutral but also more efficient and a larger number of transports per day is possible. The transporter was developed by Brussels Airport for the Belgian pharmaceutical sector and is used by the airport at every possible opportunity. For this reason, the product has enjoyed considerable worldwide interest at the Forum.
