Cette mission doit amener un petit robot mobile (un "rover") sur la surface de la planète rouge en 2019. L'expérience belge visera à déterminer de façon extrêmement précise la rotation et l'orientation de Mars dans l'espace. Une autre expérience belge s'envolera également à bord d'ExoMars 2016.
