DECEMBER 2016
SPRING 2016 REPRESENTED A KEY MOMENT FOR SONACA AIRCRAFT WITH THE FIRST ORDERS OF THE SONACA 200, WHICH NOW AMOUNT TO MORE THAN 20.
Since then, Sonaca Aircraft has pursued its approach of the European market, introducing the Sonaca 200 in Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Scandinavia.

Certification, production launch and delivery.

We have initiated the certification process as well as the production and assembly of two test aircraft intended for the ground and flight trials, respectively scheduled in January and March 2017.

Regarding production, it is planned to start with a yearly capacity of 25 aircraft at Sonaca's site in Gosselies (Belgium). Ultimately, we aim at expanding our activities in another airfield in Belgium in order to increase our production capacities as of 2019.

The first deliveries of the Sonaca 200 remain on target for the end of 2017. Our delivery planning is almost complete for 2018; there are still some order opportunities left for our clients to be delivered that year.

« We flew the Sonaca 200 »: the professionals' testimonials

Since the launch of the project, private pilots and instructors have given us a regular feedback on their flight experiences. We chose to gather some of these testimonials under a section named « We flew the Sonaca 200 » and to share it with you on Sonaca Aircraft's Facebook page.

Professionals unanimously emphasize the robustness, performance and price-quality ratio of the Sonaca 200, which they perceive as an actual twoseater aircraft. These comments tend to consolidate the approach followed by Sonaca Aircraft, that chose since the very beginning to use technologies that have been proven on airlines in order to develop a certified aicraft that stands out from the competitors' aircraft built upon the technical specificities of ultralight aircraft.

The campaign « We flew the Sonaca 200 » will end in December. Of course, we remain open to your feedbacks and suggestions that you would like to submit. After all, our purpose is to develop and produce the aircraft that best meets your expectations!

1 The Sonaca 200 will be EASA certified for a take-off weight (MTOW) of 750kg and a cruise speed of 115 knots.
2 Ultra light aircrafts: MTOW<450 kg (two-seater).
