An illustrated history of paint jobs on B-25s in U.S. service

Omschrijving

This book is an illustrated history of paint jobs on the North American B-25 Mitchell in service of the United States armed forces. From august 1943 untill october 1944, Mitchell's B-25 were flying from the airbase of Dunsfold in England to the continent. Mostly to hit tactical objects like bridges, railways, constructionworks, and V1 or V2 launch pads. From mid october 1944, while most of Belgium had been liberated, missions were accomplished from the airfield of Melsbroek (today: Zaventem), near Brussels.

Video: "B25 Mitchell Fly In Aviodrome 2014"

Take a look behind the scenes when the North American B25 Mitchell, owned by the private Royal Dutch Airforce Historical Flight foundation does a series of fly by's at the Aviodrome aviation museum in the Netherlands. Just three days before her 70th birthday, the technicians and pilots team up to keep this beauty in top condition. Enjoy the exciting inboard footage including unique intercom recordings. This is the only original B25 in Europe and you may find her on one of the many international shows. But this time in her home country The Netherlands.
