Ladies and Gentlemen Aviators

It's been a busy month here at Vintage Wings of Canada. With our signature event, the Hadfield Youth Summit, close at hand, we'll take a writing break and reprise one of our favourite stories from many years ago. 73 years ago this month, a young boy from Ottawa who grew up just a few blocks from where I write this, was swallowed up in the desperate aerial battle that was Malta.  After months of research, his story was pieced together from numerous sources and told for the very first time in Vintage News in 2008.

Notre formidable et regretté ami, Robert " Bobby " Laumans, y apparaît à deux reprises :

• 0 : 59 : 23 : au centre de l'image, avec sa veste de " War Service Dress " déboutonnée.
• 1 : 05 : 18 : à droite, déguisé en femme pour une pièce de théatre ( avec un grand chapeau ).
