A l'occasion du Congrès de la commission, qui se tiendra le 26 novembre à l'Espace Air Passion, à Angers-Marcé, le n° 25 (84 pages au format A4) de "Vieilles Plumes" sera dévoilé aux passionnés. Au sommaire: l'année 1947 avec le concours national US de Wichita Falls où les Français se sont distingués, notamment grâce au tout nouveau Arsenal Air 100. Celui-ci fait aussi l'objet d'une monographie très complète signée Christian Ravel ainsi que l'histoire du prototype 01resté en Amérique pendant 70 ans avant son retour en France. Restauré et conservé au musée d'Angers, il est désormais classé monument historique et compte dans le patrimoine national. Jean Molveau, le rédacteur en chef et président de la commission, traite, lui, du SO-P1 surnommé "Ferblantine", participant aussi au championnat de Wichita Falls. Enfin, Jean Barnérias rappelle la vie et l'oeuvre de Bourdarot, constructeur de planeur dans les années 1930. La réalisation de ce numéro 25 a été confiée à Bleu Ciel Diffusion. As important growth engine for the country, Brussels Airport is preparing for the future. That is why Brussels Airport Company CEO Arnaud Feist today presented the Strategic Vision 2040 for the airport. Brussels Airport has an ambitious plan to get ready to accommodate the expected growth in air traffic in the next 25 years.

The plan connects our country to the rest of the world and to the future, and has the potential to double the number of jobs on and around the airport site to 120,000 by 2040. The airport operator intends to further develop Brussels Airport in an open and transparent way, in dialogue with all stakeholders concerned and with consideration for its impact on the environment and its surroundings. That is why Brussels Airport has created Forum 2040, in which all stakeholders are represented: neighbours, municipalities, civil society organisations, companies and experts.

Op dinsdagavond 6 december 2016 om 19u in de rotonde in het luchthavengebouw Kortrijk-Wevelgem. Voor iedereen die begaan is met vliegveiligheid in het algemeen en voor piloten, technici, gebruikers en exploitanten van luchtvaartinstallaties in het bijzonder. We wensen u een leerrijke en boeiende avond met achteraf even nakeuvelen bij een drankje. Nog even meegeven: In accordance with Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, it is not the purpose of the Air Accident Investigation Unit to apportion blame or liability. The sole objective of the investigation and the reports produced is the determination of the causes, and define recommendations in order to prevent future accidents and incidents. Over Airport Community EBKT Om het gemeenschapsgevoel op het vliegveld van Kortrijk-Wevelgem te bestendigen en levendig te houden, is Airport Community EBKT vzw boven de doopfond gehouden. Deze vereniging heeft zich tot doel gesteld om de samenwerking tussen de bedrijven, verenigingen, besturen,…en vooral de “mensen”, op en om de luchthaven te bevorderen en te intensifiëren. Dit lijkt, en is ook, een nobel doel dat geen enkele politieke kleur draagt en zich niet wil binden aan ideologische of commerciële strekkingen. De vereniging is volledig zelfstandig en heeft geen enkele verbintenis met een bedrijf, een club of een bestuur. De “Airport Community EBKT vzw” is dan ook meer dan een feestcomité en zal met tal van evenementen zoals voordrachten, lezingen, info avonden, uitstappen,.. proberen een interessant platform te vormen voor uitwisseling van informatie en weetjes. Logisch dat wij zeker geen feestje, herdenking of receptie uit de weg zullen gaan en ons steentje willen bijdragen waar we kunnen om te helpen mensen bij elkaar te brengen in een aangename collegiale sfeer. Eén van onze belangrijkste projecten, maar zeker niet het enige, is de organisatie van de herdenking van het honderdjarig bestaan van onze luchthaven!
