Boeing 787 Dreamliner van Jetairfly geland in Brussel
Op
Brussels Airport is woensdagmiddag de nieuwe Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner van
Jetairfly geland. Het vliegtuig arriveerde op de luchthaven na een
rechtstreekse ferryvlucht vanuit Paine Field in Everett, even ten
noorden van Seattle. Jetairfly krijgt de beschikking over één
Dreamliner, die zal worden ingezet op vluchten naar het Caribisch
Gebied.
De Boeing 787 van Jetairfly draagt de naam 'Diamond' en is voorzien van de registratie OO-JDL. Het toestel vervangt één van beide Boeing 767-300ER's van Jetairfly. Als eerste gaat Jetairfly de nieuwe aanwinst inzetten op korte vluchten. Na kerstmis volgen de eerste transatlantische routes.
Jetairfly is de Belgische luchtvaartmaatschappij van reisconcern TUI Travel. Die onderneming heeft in totaal vijftien Dreamliners besteld, waarvan er inclusief de 787 van Jetairfly er nu vijf afgeleverd zijn. De overige vier vliegen al bij het Britse Thomson Airways.
Jetairfly is de eeerste luchtvaartmaatschappij in de Benelux die met de 787 gaat vliegen. ArkeFly, de Nederlandse airline van TUI Travel, ontvangt in mei 2014 haar eerste van drie Boeing 787’s. KLM neemt naar verwachting eind 2015 haar eerste Dreamliner in ontvangst. (Source: Luchtvaartnieuws)

Jetairfly to fly to Miami International Airport as of April 4th, 2014
Belgian low-cost airline Jetairfly will begin non-stop service between Brussels and Miami International Airport, USA.
Jetairfly's flight into MIA will be its first venture into the U.S. and the airport's 14th European destination.
The flight will begin on April 4 with flights on Mondays and Fridays via a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Bookings are scheduled to be available at the end of October.
“The launch of Brussels service at MIA is part of our plan to add strategic new destinations to our international network,” said Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. González. “Brussels is one of the most influential tourism hubs in Europe, and seat of the European Community government. We are extremely excited and honored that Jetairfly chose MIA as their first U.S. destination.”

Jetairfly lance le Charleroi – Malaga
La compagnie aérienne low cost Jetairfly a inauguré sa nouvelle liaison entre Charleroi et Malaga, portant à 22 le nombre de destinations proposées à l’aéroport belge.Depuis le 29 mars 2013, la filiale belge du groupe TUI Travel spécialisée dans le vol pas cher opère deux vols par semaine entre sa base et la Costa del Sol, à bord de Boeing 737-800. Le départ du lundi se fait à 14h45 pour arriver à 17h35, avec retour d’Espagne à 18h20 pour se poser à 21h25. Le vol du vendredi décolle de Charleroi à 7h30 (arrivée 10h35) et repart à 11h15 (arrivée 14h20). Jetairfly, qui dessert déjà Malaga depuis Bruxelles, Liège et Ostende, est en concurrence sur cet axe avec Brussels Airlines et Ryanair.

Jetairfly to Start Tour Operations with the Embraer E190
Jetairfly, the Belgian subsidiary of TUI Travel PLC (“TUI Travel”), one
of the world’s leading leisure travel groups, has received the first of
two EMBRAER 190 leased from BOC Aviation, the Singapore-based aircraft
leasing company. The aircraft was delivered during a ceremony at
Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The second E190
is due to follow during the first semester of 2013.
Jetairfly’s
E190s are configured with 112 slim line seats in a single-class layout.
The company plans to operate the aircraft from Brussels airport to
various destinations in its European network including Faro in Portugal,
Málaga in Spain, and Zakynthos in Greece.
“Not only are we
welcoming a new customer to our portfolio of E-Jet operators, the
airline’s selection is yet another endorsement of the versatility of the
E-Jets product line”, said Paulo Cesar Silva, President and CEO,
Embraer Commercial Aviation. “Jetairfly will deploy its E190s to offer
its passengers more nonstop options more often and to more
destinations.”
The delivery to Jetairfly broadens the range of
business applications of E-Jets. The 70- to 120- seat, four-aircraft
family is flying today with low fare airlines, in regional networks,
with full-service mainline carriers and now with tour operators, like
TUI Travel.
“We are very enthusiastic about welcoming this first
EMBRAER 190 in Jetairfly’s fleet and start operations with this brand
new aircraft. It will allow us to schedule new direct routes with one of
the most eco-efficient aircraft, providing our passengers with a high
level of comfort,” stated Elie Bruyninckx, Chairman of Jetairfly. “The
E190 will help us to right size demand on some seasonal routes and lower
our operational costs.”
“The introduction of this first E190 to
Jetairfly’s fleet further consolidates our company’s partnership with
TUI Travel PLC and also with Embraer. We are delighted to be the first
aircraft leasing company to deliver the E190 to a tour operator and we
are able to do it because the economics of the aircraft works for this
business,” said Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer of BOC Aviation.
Since entering revenue service in 2004,
Embraer has received more than 1,000 E-Jet orders. There are over 60

Jetairfly opent nieuwe basis in Noord-Franse Rijsel
De Belgische luchtvaartmaatschappij Jetairfly neemt begin april dit jaar een basis op de luchthaven van Rijsel in gebruik. Dat heeft de maatschappij bekend gemaakt. Vanuit de Noord-Franse stad zal Jetairfly aan de reiziger vluchten naar twaalf bestemmingen in Zuid-Europa en Noord-Afrika aanbieden. Met een aanwezigheid op de luchthaven Rijsel-Lesquin wil de maatschappij naar eigen zeggen een grote potentiële markt aanboren in het noorden van Frankrijk. Rijsel wordt de zevende basis van het Belgische luchtvaartbedrijf, dat al aanwezig is op de luchthavens van Brussel, Charleroi, Oostende en Luik en in Marrakech en Casablanca in Marokko. Na de uitbreiding zal Jetairfly aan de reiziger 163 verbindingen kunnen aanbieden tussen 105 luchthavens. Een Boeing 737 van de Belgische maatschappij zal op Lille-Lesquin worden gestationeerd.
