Belgian Air Force - RS05 "The Blackbird" - June 2001 de Phantom RC Filmed in june 2001 during the buildup of the RS05 (Westland Sea King Mk 48 - 40 Sqn SAR) after it had been painted into a black decoration, with national colours, for the 25th anniversary of the Sea King in service with 40 Sqn SAR. Most of the film has been made with personal camera in the Maintenance Squadron. This video had been forgotten in the drawer of my bureau, but my intention had been to digitise it and to use it as a tribute to the people with whom I spent more than 30 years in Koksijde AB. Done !!! The full version is a bit longer than 1 hour. Photo's were kindly provided by my collegue and photographer Rino. Thanks m8. Koksijde - Aan alles komt een einde, ook aan de levensduur van een helikopter. Donderdagmiddag 29 augustus wordt op de basis van Koksijde dan ook afscheid genomen van de Sea King RS03, dit na meer dan 37 jaar dienst bij het 40ste Smaldeel.
