Bapa.be 1000 technical manuals archived

Technical manuals and archives - BAPA.be
Belgian Aviation Preservation Association asbl/vzw

Many of us are involved in aircraft restoration since more than 20 years. We are also collecting aviation documents since many years. We learned, sometime the hard way, some lessons.

In May 2014
, more than 1000 documents are scanned and indexed. The last one being a repair manual for the CF-100. Most of the aircraft used by the Belgian Air Force are documented.

600 documents online - Collection Veys repository - BAPA.be

600 documents about aviation availlable on www.bapa.be

600 documents online - Collection Veys repository - BAPA.be
In August 2011, the collection Philippe Veys was given to the Brussels Air Museum Funds to be preserved digitally and put at the disposal of the aviation researchers.

Philippe Veys collaborated with many newspapers before World War 2 and collected documents about aviation. The Belgian Aviation History Library (BAPA) was selected for her capability to convert great quantities of paper to digital archives permitting easy access and the diffusion of this collection, the result of many years of hard labour of an Aviation Enthusiast.

We are proud to publish these documents and share them with the aviation community.

If you want to use these documents, please mention Collection Philippe Veys.

Découvrez la passion d'Yves pour la restauration d'avions anciens. L'atelier se déroulera, tout en humour, près de Gembloux où les participants seront invités à poncer un planeur.
L'invité surprise RTBF de cette semaine est David Jeanmotte.

BAPA.BE : In search of other pictures of Austria OO-ZTL in "Tiger" colours

Hello,

At the bapa workshop (www.bapa.be) , we are currently working hard to prepare the Austria OO-ZTL for display.
Gliding Bob already provided us some pictures of the "Tigge" (Tiger pronounced the walloon way).
If you have more picture of this glider, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This magnificent machine was given Bapa late October by his owner. This delightfull and rare glider is in very good condition but needed a new painting to be put on display. The only missing part is the instrument panel (if ever you have one or information to build a new one, we are also interested).

You can visit us at www.bapa.be

Many thanks in advance
