Vintage Wings of Canada :Me and Mr Jones

Forwarded message - From: Vintage Wings

Ladies and Gentlemen Aviators

There are two ways to an aviator's heart. One is talk of flying and the other is pie–sweet, home baked pie, made with love. A 90 year-old BCATP flying instructor, still flying 70 years on, opens his heart and memory to a writer/baker from Alberta. Follow this link to learn more:

Vintage Wings of Canada : When Nature Calls

Forwarded message From: Vintage Wings

Ladies and Gentlemen Aviators

Aerial combat during the Second World War exposed pilots and air crews to a terrifying array of stresses, dangers, risks and miseries. Many sorties, especially bombing ops, lasted six to ten hours and even longer. Toileting under these conditions was done only when necessary, and had its own attendant risks and bad outcomes. Vintage Wings : Remembrance Day

Forwarded message From: Vintage Wings

Ladies and Gentlemen Aviators

Each every day at Vintage Wings of Canada, we strive to remember and give thanks to our veterans, both of long-finished wars and those of wars yet settled. While we remember them 365 days a year, all we ask is that you take the time for just one hour of one day, this Sunday, to think about the sacrifices they have made, the damage they have sustained to their bodies, spirits and families and to thank them for the freedoms we express every day because of them. Just one day.

Vintage Wings of Canada : Yellow Wings Kick off

Forwarded message ---From: Vintage Wings
Date: Fri, Feb 10, 2012 at 4:30 AM

Ladies and Gentlemen Aviators

This year the Yellow Wings flying tribute to the BCATP will head "down east" to our Atlantic provinces, which were so instrumental in training pilots and aircrew and then shipping them overseas to the battle. To get the year off on the right ski so to speak, we sent three of our five trainers east along the Ottawa River to Montebello to wave the flag in the depths of winter.
