Sonaca Aircraft est présente, pour la 4^ème année consécutive, au salon européen de l'aviation générale Aero Friedrichshafen (Allemagne) pour y présenter la version glass cockpit du Sonaca 200 : le « Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro ».

Pour assurer la sécurité et la longévité de ses appareils, Sonaca Aircraft a choisi d'utiliser des technologies éprouvées provenant uniquement d'équipementiers certifiés; moteur Rotax (Autriche), système de freinage Beringer (France), hélice à pas fixe de DUC Hélices (France), suite avionique Garmin (US) ainsi que le tout nouveau KI300 de Honeywell (US).

Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro : l'aviation générale à l'ère du numérique

En développant une version glass cockpit du Sonaca 200, Sonaca Aircraft fait entrer le pilote d'aviation générale dans l'ère du numérique. Carl Mengdehl, Responsable Engineering & Certification chez Sonaca Aircraft, déclare : « Le Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro séduit les écoles qui proposent des formations CPL[1] et ATPL[2] car l'avionique est similaire à celle d'un avion commercial utilisé pour les formations ATPL. Les facilités de navigation (cartes, approches GPS ou ILS, database terrain 3D,…), séduisent aussi les Aéroclubs qui effectuent des voyages en avion. Enfin, l'option digitale attire les jeunes générations de pilotes familiarisés aux écrans tactiles et systèmes digitaux.»

« L'appareil, ses systèmes, sa documentation d'utilisation orientés utilisateur (AFM et AMM) ainsi que la plateforme évoluée de support et de service après-vente font du Sonaca 200 la solution idéale pour les écoles de pilotage à la recherche d'un appareil destiné à compléter ou renouveler leur flotte d'avions d'entrainement »  précise Pierre Van Wetter, Chief Commercial Officer, Sonaca Aircraft.

Pour l'avionique principale (primary flight display et système de navigation), Sonaca Aircraft s'est tournée vers les derniers produits de la gamme Garmin. « La suite Garmin G500 TXi, couplée au navigateur GTN, est à la fois moderne, fiable, conviviale, multifonctionnelle et évolutive. Celle-ci offre des possibilités quasi illimitées de connectivité et de compatibilité avec les produits de la gamme Garmin et ceux d'autres fabricants ».

L'intégration complète entre l'écran principal, le navigateur, le système de contrôle des paramètres moteur et la seconde radio assure une ergonomie parfaite et une sécurité absolue en vol de jour comme de nuit.

 Avion connecté et intelligent

La version glass cockpit prévoit une option « wifi à bord » grâce à laquelle les pilotes pourront télécharger les plans de vol directement de leur tablette au GPS de l'avion. Cette version permet d'intégrer les futures évolutions software et hardware dédiées, par exemple, aux activités de monitoring de l'avion. « La fonction monitoring offrira la possibilité de suivre et d'enregistrer, en temps réel, certains paramètres de l'avion en vol. Elle permettra de détecter et d'anticiper tout dysfonctionnement de l'appareil, elle permettra aussi la maintenance prédictive et, par là-même, de limiter au maximum le temps d'immobilisation de l'avion au sol. Enfin, le calcul en temps réel du degré d'usure de la cellule garantira une traçabilité complète de l'utilisation et facilitera la gestion des flottes d'avions » » précise Carl Mengdehl.

D'autres fonctionnalités telles que la possibilité de passer des appels téléphoniques en vol via Bluetooth, d'accéder en vol aux cartes météo à jour, de visualiser sur l'écran les avions à proximité afin d'éviter les collisions, ainsi que l'accès à internet via connexion 3/4G sont également disponibles de série ou en option.

Livraisons du Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro

L'année 2019 sera marquée par la livraison des premiers exemplaires du Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro. Ayjet, école d'aviation basée à Istanbul (Turquie), sera le premier client à prendre possession, dès le mois de juin, du Sonaca 200 en version glass cockpit.

Les écoles d'aviation « Belgian Flight School » (BFS)[1] et « Air Academy New CAG » (New CAG)[2] prennent livraison des premiers Sonaca 200. Ces livraisons ont été planifiées dans la foulée de la certification EASA CS-VLA du Sonaca 200 obtenue en juin dernier[3].

Basées sur le site de Brussels South Charleroi Airport, BFS et New CAG forment des pilotes de ligne qui sont engagés par les compagnies aériennes du monde entier. « Le Sonaca 200 vient remplacer et renforcer la flotte de deux grandes écoles belges de pilotage » déclare Pierre Van Wetter,  Chief Commercial Officer de Sonaca Aircraft « Les contrats que nous avons signés avec ces deux écoles portent, en tout, sur l'achat de 16 Sonaca 200 dont 8 commandes fermes de Sonaca 200 Trainer et 8 options pour des Sonaca 200 Trainer Pro. Les avions restants (soit 6 appareils de la commande ferme) seront livrés aux clients d'ici le printemps 2019".

 Située sur l'aérodrome de Namur (Belgique), l'infrastructure de Sonaca Aircraft est en cours de développement : un nouveau hall d'assemblage d'une superficie de 2 000 m² permettra de livrer jusqu'à 80 avions par an dès 2020.

Sonaca 200-toestellen in ontvangst. De leveringen werden gepland nadat de Sonaca 200 in juni zijn EASA CS-

VLA-certificaat behaalde3

.BFS en New CAG zijn gebaseerd in Brussels South Charleroi Airport, waar ze lijnpiloten opleiden die voor

luchtvaartmaatschappijen uit de hele wereld werken. "De Sonaca 200 komt de vloot van twee grote Belgische

vliegscholen vervangen en versterken", vertelt Pierre Van Wetter, Chief Commercial Officer van Sonaca Aircraft.

"De contracten die we met die twee scholen hebben afgesloten, betreffen de aankoop van in totaal zestien

Sonaca 200-toestellen: acht definitieve bestellingen van de Sonaca 200 Trainer en acht opties op de Sonaca 200

Trainer Pro. De resterende vliegtuigen (zes toestellen van de definitieve bestelling) worden tegen de lente van

2019 bij de klanten afgeleverd.

De infrastructuur van Sonaca Aircraft bij de luchthaven van Namen (België) is in volle expansie: dankzij een

nieuwe assemblagehal van 2.000 m2 kunnen er vanaf 2020 tot 80 vliegtuigen per jaar worden geleverd.

IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AMBITIOUS INDUSTRIAL PROJECT IS BEING CONDUCTED IN CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH THE SONACA GROUP. Review of the Sonaca 200 static and fatigue analyses Sonaca Aircraft quite naturally turned to Sonaca for the sizing of the Sonaca 200. "The Sonaca Group has significant experience in the dimensioning and certification of aeronautical structures for aircraft in the CS-25 category for which the certification criteria are much more stringent than those of the Sonaca 200" pointed out Carl Dewandel, Structure Compliance Manager, Sonaca Aircraft. The Sonaca 200 static and fatigue analyses were fully carried out under the SONIA calculation environment. "SONIA is able to solve very complex problems such as impact resistance, de-icing, nonlinear behavior, cases of large deformation, fatigue analyses and damage tolerance, etc" explained Albert- Paul Gonze, Sonaca "Digital Methods" Department Manager. In the specific case of the Sonaca 200, the digital model included the 800 parts and 15,000 rivets which make up the aircraft. SONIA has allowed us to accurately calculate the safety coefficients andmaximize the reliability of all the elements. EASA has issued the DOA certificate to Sonaca Aircraft In accordance with 216/2008 (EC) and 748/2012 (EU) Regulations, EASA has issued the "Design Organization Approval" certificate to Sonaca Aircraft (Part 21, section A, Subpart J.). To obtain the DOA, Sonaca aircraft had to demonstrate to the competent authorities that it has the necessary organization, procedures, authorities and resources to design and certify a CS-VLA type aircraft (in reference to the Sonaca 200). Getting the DOA proves that we have a high level of technical maturity and mastery of our product. Thanks to the DOA, Sonaca Aircraft will have the privilege to certify certain modifications or repairs. This will allow us to be very reactive towards customer requests — Simon André, Head of Independent Monitoring at Sonaca Aircraft Sonaca Aircraft has closed the flight tests After having successfully carried out the static test program as well as all the tests for stability, noise, vibration, performance and stalling, the Sonaca 200 closed its flight test program with the spin tests which proved to be conclusive. The flight certification campaign is now over. The Sonaca 200 will be EASA certified for a take-off weight (MTOW) of 750 kg and a cruising speed of 115 knots. First deliveries starting in March 2018 The first aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in March of this year. In 2018, Sonaca Aircraft will produce 3 aircraft per month and will increase its production capacity to 5 aircraft per month in 2019.
