Une équipe de l'ULg a étudié comment les gouttes se vaporisent et a publié ses résultats dans une revue scientifique professionnelle. Cette expérience a été menée à l'aide d'une impressionnante centrifugeuse localisée à l'ESTEC, le cœur technique de l'ESA, à Noordwijk aux Pays-Bas, et s'inscrivait dans le programme Spin your Thesis! de l'unité éducation de l'ESA.

Een team van de Ulg heeft onderzocht hoe druppels verdampen en de resultaten in een professioneel wetenschappelijk tijdschrift gepubliceerd. Het experiment werd uitgevoerd met een grote centrifuge die zich bevindt in ESTEC, ESA's technische hart in Noordwijk in Nederland in het kader van het programma Spin your Thesis! van de educatieve afdeling van ESA.

L'ESA lancera cet été le cinquième ATV, baptisé « Georges Lemaître », et dont la mission sera de ravitailler la station spatiale internationale (ISS). Le cosmologiste belge Georges Lemaître est connu comme le « père de la théorie du Big Bang ».
Cet exceptionnel chercheur belge sera célébré lors du symposium « Georges Lemaître's Big Bang In Modern Cosmology" qui aura lieu à Louvain le 7 mai.

Hij kreeg de naam Georges Lemaître ter ere van de Belgische kosmoloog, die ook wel de vader van de Big Bang-theorie wordt genoemd. Volgende maand staat deze uitzonderlijke onderzoeker centraal tijdens een symposium.
