F16 MLU BELGIAN AIR FORCE DEMO - Pilot: Cmdt Michel "Mitch" Buelen (airshowvision) by airshowvision Airshowvision present one of the very best fast jet demos of the last few years, in the shape of the Belgian Air Force F16, flown brilliantly by Cmdt. Michel "Mitch" Buelen. Unfortunately Mitch has now completed his 3 year stint as demo plot in this jet, but thnkfully we can still enjoy his demo on video. One thing I have learned over the last few years by going to airshows is that the pilot is every bit as important as the plane in determining how great the demo is, and Mitch has blown all the other F16 pilots away, although there are many other extremely good F16 demos around too. The topic for the March 1st event is ‘Long Range Escort Missions’, featuring the North American P-51 Mustang. Captain Wayne L. Coleman and 2nd Lt. Raymond Biel are the featured speakers. Coleman As part of the 82nd Squadron, 78th Fighter Group at Duxford, Wayne flew the first of his 75 combat missions dive-bombing and strafing in support of the Normandy invasion. Wayne shot down three Fw190s in a single mission and later a Me262 jet.  READ MORE... 2nd Lt. Raymond P. Biel Ray was one of 30 pilots who flew on the atomic bomb missions over Japan.
