Rare ww2 film: SAAF in East- and North Africa by Tinus le Roux John Hewitson was a ww2 fighter pilot flying with No.1 Squadron SAAF. He saw service from 1940 in East Africa and North Africa. He flew Gladiators, Hurricanes and Tomahawks and is the last South African ace still to be around.
