| En cette année 2017, la Première escadrille du 2e Wing tactique de la Composante Air belge fête son anniversaire. Créée initialement en 1913, l'unité a reçu le chardon d'Ecosse comme emblème en 1917. Depuis cent ans le chardon a volé sur la plupart des avions mis en oeuvre par l'escadrille. Pour marquer l'événement, le F-16AM codé FA-132 a reçu une magnifique livrée. Elle est l'oeuvre du designer français Didier Wolff. Le jeudi 11 mai 2017, le FA-132 Blackbird faisait son premier vol depuis la base aérienne de Florennes. |
F-16AM FA-132 BECOMES THE BLACKBIRD
This year 2017, the 1st Squadron of the 2nd Tactical Wing of the Belgian Air Component celebrates its birthday. Initially created in 1913, the unit has received in 1917 the Scottish thistle as an emblem. Since a hundred years, the thistle has decorated many aircraft which have been used by the 1st Squadron Stingers. One of the highlights of the Squadron's jubilee is the special paint made for the F-16AM wearing tail code FA-132. It is the work of the French designer Didier Wolff. On Thursday, May 11, the FA-132 Blackbird made its maiden flight from Florennes air base. |
