International Paris Air Show - 19-25 June 2017, Paris, Le Bourget

The International Paris Air Show is organised by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association. The 52nd show will take place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions from 19 to 25 June 2017 and, once again, will bring together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations.

The Commission en direct February edition's dossier presents the Commission's new Aviation Strategy adopted in December 2015, including a joint interview with Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič and Commissioner Violeta Bulc, who explain how this comprehensive approach help ensure the EU's aviation sector can meet future challenges. This edition also includes exclusive interviews with Ambassador Pieter de Gooijer, who gives an overview of the incoming Dutch Presidency's priorities, some key DG CLIMA colleagues, who explain how Europe helped achieve a global climate agreement at the COP21 in Paris in December 2015, and Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Other features cover the Commission's circular economy package, the 50th anniversary of DG COMM's Audiovisual Services and the 20th anniversary of EbS, the problems posed by leaks to the Commission's reputation, and the Dutch Presidency's cultural programme.
