L'ESA lancera cet été le cinquième ATV, baptisé « Georges Lemaître », et dont la mission sera de ravitailler la station spatiale internationale (ISS). Le cosmologiste belge Georges Lemaître est connu comme le « père de la théorie du Big Bang ».
Cet exceptionnel chercheur belge sera célébré lors du symposium « Georges Lemaître's Big Bang In Modern Cosmology" qui aura lieu à Louvain le 7 mai.

Deze zomer lanceert ESA haar vijfde ATV-ruimtecargo naar het internationaal ruimtestation ISS. Hij kreeg de naam Georges Lemaître ter ere van de Belgische kosmoloog, die ook wel de vader van de Big Bang-theorie wordt genoemd. Volgende maand staat deze uitzonderlijke onderzoeker centraal tijdens een symposium.

Le secrétaire d'Etat à la Mobilité, Melchior Wathelet (cdH), a démenti les problèmes que l'Echo prêtait mardi matin à son arrêté royal visant à permettre l'octroi d'un subside annuel fédéral de 19 millions d'euros pour financer les infrastructures de sécurité à Brussels Airport.
