Brussels Airport: 2013 meilleure année depuis 2001

Brussels Airport a enregistré une hausse de 6,2% du transport de passagers en décembre. Plus d'1,3 million de passagers ont transité par l'aéroport.

"Le transport long-courrier, les lignes régulières européennes et le low fare ont particulièrement contribué à cette forte croissance", note Brussels Airport.
Sur l'ensemble de l'année, le premier aéroport du pays a enregistré plus de 19 millions de passagers, ce qui représente une légère hausse par rapport à 2012 et son meilleur résultat depuis plus de 10 ans. "Après un mois de décembre exceptionnel, Brussels Airport clôture l'année 2013 sur un progrès de 0,9% du nombre de passagers, les meilleurs résultats depuis 2001. Grâce à cette croissance, Brussels Airport fait même un peu mieux que la moyenne escomptée des grands aéroports européens", a déclaré Arnaud Feist, CEO de Brussels Airport Company.
Sur l'ensemble de l'année 2013, 19,13 millions de passagers sont passés par Brussels Airport contre 18,97 millions un an plus tôt. Brussels Airport a par ailleurs traité 430.000 tonnes fret l'an dernier contre près de 460.000 tonnes en 2012. L'aéroport a noté en décembre une croissance de 9,4% du volume de fret transporté, malgré la suppression d'un nombre de vols cargo.
