Grâce au CubeSat PICASSO (acronyme de « PICo-satellite for Atmospheric and Space Science Observations), l'Institut d'aéronomie spatiale de Belgique (IASB) étudiera pour le compte de l'ESA les couches supérieures de l'atmosphère. PICASSO est programmé pour être lancé en 2016 en tant que composant associé au projet européen QB50.
