Over 400 Airport vacancies and regional
job opportunities at the Aviato Jobfair
on 18 February

On 18 February, the Aviato Jobfair returns to Skyhall. Organised by Aviato, the employment center of Brussels Airport, in collaboration with Brussels Airport Company, VDAB, Actiris, VOKA Vlaams-Brabant, and POM Vlaams-Brabant, this event is the largest job fair in Flemish Brabant. Jobseekers, students, and anyone looking for a new challenge are invited to explore a wide range of job opportunities at Brussels Airport and across the region. In addition to 400 vacancies at the airport, hundreds of job opportunities are available in other sectors.

Aviato, in collaboration with its partners Brussels Airport Company, VDAB, Actiris, VOKA Vlaams-Brabant, and POM Vlaams-Brabant, is organizing the fourth edition of the Aviato Jobfair. On 18 February, jobseekers from across Belgium will have the opportunity to connect not only with Brussels Airport employers but also with employment agencies (both in-house and external) and new companies from outside the airport.

Brussels Airport remains a powerful economic ecosystem and a key driver of Belgium's economy, with an influence that extends beyond the airport itself. This impact is reflected in 30,000 direct jobs, 55,000 indirect jobs, 335 companies, 18 sectors, and an average of 400 open positions. The participation of non-airport companies in the Aviato Jobfair highlights the strategic importance of the airport as a meeting place for talent, a convergence of sectors and a catalyst for the region's economic growth.

Isabelle Borli, General Manager Aviato: "The labour market is constantly evolving, making it crucial to respond swiftly to change. With recent shifts in the bus and car manufacturing industry, many technical professionals are now available, while maintenance & repair (MRO) companies at Brussels Airport are actively seeking such talent. Aviato collaborates with VDAB and Actiris to efficiently connect companies with jobseekers, aiming to attract the best candidates for the 400 vacancies at and around Brussels Airport, Belgium's second-largest economic growth hub. In this context, the Aviato Jobfair serves as an ideal and accessible platform, providing a unique opportunity to connect jobseekers with potential employers."

Aviato remains committed to strengthening inter-regional labour mobility, and this approach is clearly paying off. The recent HIVA study (2022) shows that 20% of employees at Brussels Airport come from the Brussels-Capital Region and 11% from Wallonia.

Aviato continues to actively appeal to these target groups to consider a career at the airport. Many jobseekers do not immediately think of the Flemish periphery of Brussels for a job, while employers there often do not automatically look to Brussels or Wallonia for new talent. 'In cooperation with VDAB, Actiris and Le Forem, we are ensuring broad communication about this event to achieve an even greater flow of visitors.' as Isabelle Borli.

Aviato Jobfair 2025: Explore Career Opportunities with Over 50 Companies

The Skyhall offers an impressive setting for this job fair, immediately immersing visitors in the dynamic world of the airport. Overlooking the tarmac, where a continuous flow of arriving and departing aircraft unfolds, more than 50 companies—both from the airport and beyond—will showcase their job opportunities.

Jobseekers, whether actively looking or exploring new opportunities, as well as students, will have the chance to discover vacancies, share their CVs, attend workshops, and network with potential employers. The golden exhibitors, including Brussels Airport Company, Sabena Engineering & SABCA, Swissport Cargo Services Belgium, Safran, Alyzia, Autogrill, Aviapartner Belgium, Defence, Eligio, G4S Aviation Security, and Securitas, are eager to welcome a diverse pool of candidates. With a broad range of open positions, the event offers career opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds and educational levels.

At Brussels Airport, key vacancies focus on ramp handlers, operations managers, and check-in agents for handling companies, as well as security agents and technical or engineering roles. In addition, professionals in hotel, catering, and hospitality are in high demand. With its strong network and extensive reach, Aviato and its partners make this job fair a unique opportunity for companies to connect with the right candidates and for jobseekers to explore new career paths.

Scoop: Aviato launches Airport Job Discovery!

The Aviato Jobfair marks the official launch of Airport Job Discovery, an innovative initiative introduced by Aviato to expand its services. "With this programme, we immerse jobseekers in realistic aviation and airport scenarios," explains Isabelle Borli. "This allows them not only to assess whether a career in the airport sector is right for them but also to understand how their talents and skills align with the challenges of this dynamic industry." During the job fair, jobseekers will be introduced to this new approach and invited to participate in the first sessions, which will begin on 27 February at the Experience Center and Lab Space of AHLEX – the Aviation Hub for Learning & Experience.
