Another successfull fly in in Malle. Hot and perfect weather. A lot of interesting aircraft. A great meeting place with friends. This year, for the first time since many years in airshow, I noticed a lot of young peoples portraying aircraft so this event is maybe waking up the aeronautical interest in this country. Anyway thanks to the organisation and aircraft owners for sharing their passion.

Event : Aviation Bookshop will be in Malle next week end

Our friends of Aviation Bookshop will be in Malle for the photoflying days next week end.

They will have a huge lot of second hand books at very low prices as well as new titles.

If your search for some specific books, do not hesitate to contact them. Last week end in Schaffen I found myself some rare publications about Liaison aircraft, an unknown book about the Curtiss D12 and an original Mustang III manual in the treasures taken from the UK by Simon.

Video Breitling Lockheed Constellation

Let's cross our fingers and hope the Connie will be in Malle next week end.

http://www.asa-be.com/index.htm : Breitling Constellation to visit Antwerp Airport?

from : http://www.asa-be.com/index.htm

As some amongst you might already have heard: there is a possibilty that
the Breitling Constellation, which is to be the star attraction at the Photo
Flying Days 2012 at Malle next weekend, will visit Antwerp airport on Friday
next.
Over the past weeks the  aircraft has had some engine problems. The engine
has now been replaced and test have been carried out. Apparently there are
still some issues, so we have not yet any confirmation the aircraft will
show up at Antwerp. When it does, the ASA Aviator lounge will be open to
the public.
On Thusrday, we expect the arrival of a Jet Provost which will also perform
at the fly in, operating from Antwerp airport. <http://www.photoflyingdays.com/>

Sikorsky S-38 flying boat "Osa's Ark" at Malle 19 - 21/08/2011

The unique and wonderful Sikorsky S-38 flying boat "Osa's Ark" will participate at the Photoflying Days and Fly In at Malle airfield between August 19th and 21st, 2011. In the legendary pre-WWII period Igor Sikorsky constructed his first flying boat which became the S-38. With their adventurous flights over the African continent, Martin and Osa Johnson would make this aircraft immortal. "Osa's Ark" is a perfect replica of this "flying Yacht" and will beyond any doubt be the star of the Malle event.
