Charley comes back home

A real example  of duty and dedication for all of us. Forget the goods and the bads, just imagine you leave your family with only bad news coming from home, never sleeping 2 nights at the same place, crossing Europa and endangered at all moment.

This is also the story of children who seek their father during more that 60 years.

This is finally an incredible story about peoples helping each other so that Charley finally come back home.

Finally our life today is very comfortable

Belgian Shopping Spree

On 6 July, the council of ministers of the Belgian government authorized Defense Minister Pieter De Crem to issue calls for tender under the 2012 defense investment plan. These include calls for tender for 70 remote weapons stations for the Light Multipurpose Vehicle (LMV), 4,500 modular carbines with day sights to replace FNC rifles currently in service, and two ready duty ships for coast guard duties.
This is part of the 242 million euros in defense investments approved by the council of ministers on 11 May. The 2012 defense investment plan also includes acquisition of short- and medium-range anti-fortification and anti-armor weapons to replace the Milan anti-tank guided missile, the Personal Defence Weapon to replace the GP 9mm pistol, and 90 mm practice ammunition for the Piranha III Armoured Infantry Vehicle (AIV) for the Belgian army.
For the air force, the F-16 Commonality and Interoperability Consolidation Program will be continued, four advanced targeting pods will be acquired, as will equipment for forward air controllers, ground-to-air radios for local air traffic control, and new airfield firefighting vehicles.

Brussels Airlines launches scheduled service to Mombasa

10 July 2012  -  As from this winter season Brussels Airlines flies weekly to Mombasa. The tourist coastal city with its magnificent sandy beaches and hotel infrastructure is Brussels Airlines second destination in Kenya after Nairobi. The opening of Mombasa, a coastal city of almost 1 million inhabitants located in the South-East of Kenya along the Indian Ocean allows Brussels Airlines to add one of the key tourist cities of Africa’s East Coast to its network. The nice climate, the shiny white sandy beaches and the superb hotel infrastructure invite holidaymakers to spend relaxing holidays. Those looking for more action will certainly like the many water sport possibilities and numerous excursions. Mombasa is also the perfect gateway to go on safari in one of the gorgeous national parks.
Starting on 2 November Brussels Airlines will fly every Friday morning to Mombasa. The return flight is scheduled on Friday evening with arrival in Brussels Airport on Saturday morning. The flight schedule allows smooth connections to and from other European countries (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Scandinavia, Russia, USA,…). Passengers going on safari can combine a flight to Mombasa with a return flight from Nairobi or vice versa to avoid long transfers over land. This combination possibility also allows a flexible duration of their stay as Brussels Airlines flies to Nairobi every Monday, Friday and Sunday.
Brussels Airlines is pleased that the Belgian tourism group Thomas Cook / Neckermann/ Pegase makes use of this new scheduled flight to offer their customers the possibility to fly in comfort to Kenya

Schedule (in local time), every Friday starting November 2nd:
Flight Number Route Departure Arrival
SN477 Bussels-Mombasa 10h30 19h10
SN477 Mombasa-Brussels 20h10 07h10

Mombasa is Brussels Airlines 21st destination in Africa. In the course of the winter season the scheduled flights will be operated with the new Brussels Airlines long haul in-flight product (flat beds in Business Class, ergonomic seats with plenty of legroom in Economy class, newest generation in-flight entertainment, ...) offering passengers in Business and Economy Class superior comfort.

Ailes Militaires Belges
