Après avoir investi dans le capital d'Aigle Azur, le méga groupe chinois HNA, qui détient notamment Hainan Airlines, serait prêt à racheter les 35 % de capital de la compagnie de fret luxembourgeoise Cargolux, détenu par Qatar Airways.

Brussels Airport gaat met een aantal partners de volgende vijf jaar meer dan 200 miljoen euro investeren in Brucargo, de logistieke site op de Belgische luchthaven. De investering kan tegen het einde van het decennium mogelijk drieduizend extra banen opleveren. Dat heeft Arnaud Feist, chief executive van Brussels Airport, bekend gemaakt. Onder meer zullen drie grote vrachtgebouwen en twee grote afhandelingsgebouwen op de site worden ingeplant. Bovendien zullen een aantal oude gebouwen worden gerenoveerd tot moderne vrachtloodsen. Brussels Airport wil zich in het bijzonder toeleggen op het transport van farmaceutische producten. Er wordt aan toegevoegd dat voor de eerste keer ook een farmabedrijf op Brucargo zal worden gevestigd. Meer details over dat project werden echter nog niet bekend gemaakt. Arnaud Feist merkte nog op dat luchtvracht een belangrijke rol kan spelen in de verdere ontwikkeling van de Belgische economie en het creëren van bijkomende banen. (MH)

La compagnie aérienne d'affaires, propriété du milliardaire Warren Buffet, a annoncé le licenciement de 128 pilotes, pour la plupart basés en France et en Belgique, au motif que les charges sont trop élevées dans ces deux pays, selon le quotidien Les Echos.
