Electronic Counter Measures : a fancy of the mind for the airstaff in 1972 … The Arab-Israeli Yom Kippur War makes the airstaff change its mind in 1973. The BAF ECM team considers that an internal system is the only feasible solution. Presentation of the Belgian specifications to the SHAPE and the PENTAGON. The MIRAGE retrofitting is granted with the LORAL/RAPPORT. The integration for the F16 is abandonned. All benefit for Israel and Turkey

Two minutes over Baghdad : Belgian/LORAL ECM A first in history : a pre-emptive attack on a nuclear installation. A difficult decision : the trauma of the holocaust : a muslim nuclear bomb. Operation BABYLON 7 June 1981 : in the greatest secret even for friendly nations. The rule of success : preparation in real conditions at the expense of flying safety. The Israeli Air Force flew with the Belgian/LORAL ECM. No-one is a prophet in his own land !
