The third of the Shuttleworth Collection's five big Sunday air displays, the Military Pageant offered a solid vintage line-up with plenty of meat on the bones; in execution, it failed to live up to the lofty heights of the previous month's Fly Navy extravaganza, but then, it didn't have to - airshows of that wall-to-wall high quality come around maybe once a year. Regardless, the Military Pageant gave punters much to enjoy and the generally fine weather conditions made for a pleasant, if somewhat lower-key, afternoon of flying. Elliott Marsh writes.
