Red Flag 21-3
Red Flag exercise at Nellis AFB near Las Vegas, Nevada, is always a great event for
military aviation enthusiasts. Typically this exercise takes place three times a year with
RF YY-1 in January/February, RF YY-2 in March, and RF YY-3 in July/August.
There was no exception for the recent RF 21-3 exercise.

U.S.N.T.P.S. New Colours
July 10th was a very hot and humid day in Houston, TX, after days of rainy weather.
I was at KEFD for a meeting just a stone throw away from the NASA hangar where the
T-38N fleet is kept and maintained. While conducting my business in the ramp area,
I took a quick glance at the NASA hangar and I noticed an aircraft that did not belong there…

Brussels Airport: August Air Traffic
The month of August is now over and here is a little report from Brussels Airport.
First of all, the sky was not brilliant, to say the least, with a majority of grey, cold and
sometimes rainy days. A plane with blue sky in August 2021 is a real chance.
Finally, the month of August took another turn with the launch of Operation Red Kite,
which was set up to ensure repatriations from Afghanistan following the departure of
the Armed Forces and the capture of the capital Kabul by the Taliban.

Notre Mirage BD 09 sera une des pièces majeures de l'événement Fenix du 4 septembre qui se déroulera au hangar H 27 sur l'ancienne base de Brustem/St-Trond (voir pièce jointe).
Le TEAM BD 09 a réussi à donner une nouvelle configuration opérationnelle à notre BD : à droite un lance-roquettes LAU 32 et à gauche un Sidewinder B (les deux configurations ont été utilisées lors du déploiement de la 8ème escadrille de Bierset à Diyarbakir pendant la première guerre du Golfe en 1991).
Le dimanche 05/09 notre Mirage retournera à sa base dans le hangar du Droneport et nous aimerions profiter de ce déplacement pour inviter nos fidèles spotters pour une séance photos devant le H 27 (l'ancien hangar de maintenance à l'époque de Fouga et A-jet) vintage à souhait!!!!
Le déplacement est prévu à partir de 10h30 et vous donnera l'occasion de photographier largement les deux côtés de notre Mirage.
Le TEAM BD 09 ne demande pas de droit d'entrée, mais étant donné les coûts croissants pour maintenir et préserver notre patrimoine de Mirage, toute contribution sera la bienvenue. Votre présence a toujours été un stimulant pour toute notre équipe.
Il est évident que si les conditions météo étaient trop mauvaises, le shooting serait annulé.
Nous le répétons, tout le monde est le bienvenu.
Onze Mirage BD 09 zal de eye catcher worden op het Fenix event van 04/0/21 dat doorgaat in de H 27 op het plein van Brustem / St-Truiden (zie bijlage).
TEAM BD 09 is er alweer in geslaagd om een nieuwe operationele configuratie te geven aan onze BD nl langs de rechter zijde een rocket launcher LAU 32 en aan de linker zijde een Sidewinder B ( beide configuraties zijn gebruikt geweest tijdens de ontplooiing van Bierset , 8 Smaldeel in Diyarbakir tijdens de eerste Golf Oorlog in 1991)
Op zondag 05/09 keert onze Mirage terug naar zijn standplaats in de loods van Droneport en van deze move willen we gebruik maken om onze trouwe spotters uit te nodigen voor een fotoshoot voor de H 27 ( de oude maintenance hangar ten tijde van Fouga en A-jet) vintage all over dus!!!!
De move is voorzien vanaf 10:30 en voorziet de mogelijkheid om beide kanten van onze Mirage uitvoerig te fotograferen
TEAM BD 09 vraagt geen entree geld maar gezien de algemene oplopende kosten voor het onderhoud en het in stand houden van ons Mirage Patrimonium is een gulle bijdrage natuurlijk meer dan welkom. Jullie aanwezigheid is steeds een opsteker geweest voor ons ganse team
Het is duidelijk dat als de weersomstandigheden te slecht waren, de opnames zouden worden afgelast.
We zeggen het voort, iedereen is meer dan welkom.
