The Zoute AirTrophy   We're very please to be able to send you a short update email about our beach landing event this 14-17 June at Knokke-Heist. Rediscovering the Zoute heritage of flying, connecting with the Zoute Aerodrome and the Royal Zoute Aviation Club, we've settled on a new name:  The Zoute AirTrophy. Our logo is fantastic, the new website is now online: www.zouteairtrophy.com and is being updated weekly with new information.  We'll shortly have our team page ready, at which stage you'll be able to see who is participating in the various categories (and the sponsors of prizes such as Gaugin, Flying Group and BAFA). In the meantime, there is also a Facebook page for those taking part in the event. As well as pilots, we're looking for people interested in taking a stand: Indoor Expo (join BAFA, IVAO, Rate One etc.) Outdoor Expo (Dynali, Sonaca etc.) Aviation Art Fair (an increasing number of painters and photographers) There is one small change which is perhaps important - due to the numbers of requests, we're going to have to restrict the number of aircraft parking overnight (the short term parking for a few hours remains unchanged).  Thus we'll be allocating overnight slots based on priority for early registrations.  With luck, we'll not have to turn anyone away, but we simply don't have space should everyone ask to park overnight! Brussels Airport received more than 1.6 million travellers in February 2018, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same month the previous year and a continuation of the growth in the last months of 2017. Cargo traffic at Brussels Airport has also increased. Indeed, flown and trucked cargo grew by 0.8% against the same month last year.

Het doel van 23.000 euro is nog lang niet bereikt. U kunt nog aan het project deelnemen door het financieel te steunen (uw attest zal in 2019 verstuurd worden). Aviation Art Fair at Knokke-Heist We have discovered that there is no global Aviation Art Fair - and this seems a great shame.  As a result, we'll be holding just such an event at the same time as the AirTrophy, at Knokke-Heist in Belgium - already world-renowned by artists and collectors alike. We expect the event to reach in excess of 100K visitors, of which perhaps 10-15% will visit the Aviation Art Fair. So, if you'd like to show (and perhaps sell) some of your work: Paintings Photographs Sculptures Books Then let us know.  Equally, if you know someone who might be interested, then please pass this on.  The cost of taking part this first year is extremely low (and no commission) - a real opportunity to have works seen (and bought) in the 'right place'. We're racing vintage cars against planes, doing a flyby of the ferry carrying the cars across the channel (whilst they watch and enjoy a glass of Champagne!), using an airfield closed since 1919, having one of the UK's most famous castles welcome our arrival with cannonfire...and that's just part of it. At Dunkirk, each crew have their own luxury tent, and will park their plane or helicopter in front of their door.  A long line of beautiful vehicles (air and land) in a unique, historical setting. Helicopters are also welcome. Two last items included at no extra cost: Entry to the Beach STOL Competition at Knokke-Heist in June. Entry to London Elite on the 12th May, one of the UK's most exclusive luxury brand and lifestyle events.
