Subject: [vintage-and-warbirds] Dutch Aviodrome museum saved. For now...

Hello all,

This Friday 23 March 2012 the Dutch Libema Groep acquired the Aviodrome
museum at Lelystad Airport, the Netherlands.

Libema Groep plans to turn the Aviodrome in more of a "theme park" and
less of a museum.
Perhaps like the German Sinsheim and Speyer museums?

The airworthy DC-2 will be sold to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the Lockheed
Constellation is to be purchased by the local Lelystad government and
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Group.

Both aircraft are to be loaned back to the Aviodrome/Libema.

The Libema Groep will buy the rest of the aircraft collection.

Saturday 28 April 2012 the Aviodrome is to be opened again for the general
paying public.
Ticket price will remain 15,75 euros for now.

Best regards
Erik Jan
