Liege Airport has announced it handled 576,664 metric tonnes of
airfreight in 2012, a 14.5% decline compared to 674,469 metric tonnes
handled in 2011. The airport attributed the decline to the “profound
effect” the depressed economic environment has had on the airfreight
sector.
