Comme convenu, la pub pour mon prochain livre sur les sites V1 en Belgique.

Je vous informe de la prochaine publication d'un livre consacré à l'histoire des sites V1 en Belgique. Dispositif assez méconnu mais dont l'histoire méritait d'être traitée.

Il s'agit de la traduction en français du livre de Luc Vanacker ''De V1 in West Vlaanderen''.

Ce livre est désormais en vente par souscription jusqu'au 1^er juillet 2016, édité par l'association Histoire et Mémoire au prix de 18 euro (franco de port)… 4,20 euros de frais de port seront à ajouter après le 1^er juillet.

Envoyer vos règlements par chèque à l'adresse ci-dessous, pas d'encaissement avant juillet 2016.

Souvenirs : Liège sous les V1 et les V2

J'ai demandé que soit publié dans la brochure SILLAGE, périodique liégeois pour les seniors, le texte ci-dessous.

Si tu connais des gens intéressés par cette aventure écrite, tu peux me les faire connaître. Merci.

"Le 70ème anniversaire du Débarquement de Normandie vient d'être fêté. Dans la foulée, notre ville de Liège était libérée les 7 et 8 septembre 1944. Ensuite, Liège a traversé les durs mois de l'Offensive des Ardennes et connu les V1 et les V2.

Aujourd'hui, les Vétérans américains encore en vie, qui étaient nos libérateurs, sont pratiquement tous nonagénaires. Ils sont les dernières mémoires vivantes de cette époque.  Aujourd'hui, je vais sur quatre-vingt-un ans. Le petit garçon que j'étais à l'époque est devenu lui aussi une des dernières mémoires de ce temps-là. Je souhaiterais faire un recueil avec les souvenirs des personnes qui ont connu, comme moi, cette période. Après moi, et après ceux qui seraient intéressés par mon projet, il n'y aura plus personne pour raconter "la petite Histoire" de l'Histoire de 1944. In september 1944 werd Antwerpen bevrijd. Na de bevrijding kregen de Antwerpenaren nog een verschrikking te verduren, de Duitsers bestookten de stad met hun nieuwste 'vergeldingswapens', de V-bommen, in een poging om Antwerpen met de grond gelijk te maken en de geallieerde aanvoer van oorlogsgoederen te verhinderen. De maandenlange terreur duurde tot 28 maart 1945. De tol voor Antwerpen was zwaar, 4.500 doden, 7.000 gewonden en 50.000 vernielde woningen.
