AéroBuzz : Actualité et Information Aéronautique AA l'occasion du départ du Tour de France cycliste de Grande-Bretagne, le Yorshire Air Museum et l'armée de l'air se sont associés pour célébrer le 70ème anniversaire de l'arrivée des deux escadrons français 346 « Guyenne » et 347 « Tunisie » appelés groupes lourds à York à l'automne 1943. Une avenue de la ville de York a retrouvé l'esprit de 1944. THEN the news BERT jr. IS WORLD CHAMPION!!!! Got spontaneous  tears!!!Saw them in the pram at airfields. Now Bert is world champion and Tijl on spot 8 what do you want more.What a family effort. Mum TC and crew dad crew and 2 boys who share so much.Congratulations!Their life IS soaring!!!
For the first time in Belgium soaring history a pilot from Belgium is WORLD CHAMPION!!!
Sebastian missed out on only 23 points and is as always a great pilot, even with SILVER ,  the greatest looking at what he achieved till now!!!
The Hood boys did so well.The whole UK team is back on track. Jez on 3 and Richard on 4!!!!!

In het kader van het transformatieplan van Defensie werd op 19 juni de Basis Koksijde ontbonden als eenheidskorps, en zal voortaan deel uitmaken van 1 Wing (Bevekom).
Luitenant-kolonel vlieger Peter Van den Broucke was de laatste korpscommandant van de Basis Koksijde. Het vaandel van de eenheid heeft hij overgedragen aan de commandant van de Luchtcomponent, luitenant-generaal vlieger Claude Van de Voorde. De standaard zal voortaan worden bewaard in het Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis.

Le jeudi 19 juin 2014, suite au plan de transformation de La Défense, la base de Coxyde a cessé d'exister en tant qu'unité de Corps et fera partie du 1 Wing de Beauvechain.
Le Lieutenant-colonel aviateur Peter Van den Broucke, Ingénieur, était le dernier chef de corps de la base de Coxyde et a remis le fanion de l'unité au Lieutenant-général aviateur Claude Van de Voorde, commandant de la Composante Air. L'étendard a été transféré au Musée Royal de l'Armée et d'Histoire Militaire.

Capt O'Shea Check Flight on De Havilland DH 84 by ScaleJetFred This Flight of the Aer Lingus Dragon IOLAR (Eagle) was a Check Flight for Capt O,Shea by Capt JJ Sullivan. Capt JJ flew the DH 84 from Dublin International Airport to the grass strip Airfield in Trim near Dublin. Thia plane is in Friedrichshafen Museum ausgestellt 2013 There Capt O,Shea performed a number of Touch and Go procedures and finaly, after collecting me and my camera, navigated the Twin passenger plane back to Dublin International Airport.
