Unfortunatly the weather was very poor and I can only stay from 10:00 to 12:00. I definitively love the Stinson Sentinel.

Anniversary of the Royal Flying Corps 12.08.14

From Biggles Biplane....
Well, we didn't quite get to Amiens as planned. We got within sight of France yesterday, as we flew along from Capel le Ferne to Dover and overhead Swingate Down, from where the first aircraft departed for France on 13th August 1914.
However the gusting winds and storms on our planned route from St. Omer to Amiens and Arras where the Western Front Association commemorative events were being held, meant discretion had to form the better part of valour...

For probably the first time since near the end of World War One, FOUR Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2 aircraft fly together in formation.

One of these aircraft, the B.E.2f (second from camera) is an original WW1 veteran. The other three, the dope coloured B.E.2c nearest the camera, and the two B.E.2e's farthest from the camera are all 100% accurate reproduction aircraft built by The Vintage Aviator Ltd in New Zealand.

It is unlikely that another formation like this will happen again in the near future as the two B.E.2e's are now in the northern hemisphere.
