Brussels Airport is operationally ready to restart flights

Brussels Airport Company has received the go ahead from the fire services and the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) for a partial restart of passenger flights at the airport. However, the authorities have yet to take a formal decision on the restart date. Until Friday evening no passenger flights will take place at Brussels Airport.

LES SEA KING BELGES PASSENT LE CAP DES 58.000 HEURES DE VOL Le mercredi 2 mars 2016, la Composante Air belge célébrait le passage des 58.000 heures de vol pour sa flotte d'hélicoptères Sea King. Un petit événement était organisé sur la base aérienne de Coxyde. L'année 2016 verra également célébrer le quarantième anniversaire de la mise en service du Westland Sea King Mk 48 au sein de la 40e escadrille.
*BELGIAN SEA KINGS GO THROUGH 58.000 FLIGHT HOURS* On Wednesday 2 March 2016, the Belgian Air Component celebrated the 58.000 flight hours of the Sea King helicopters fleet. A small event has been organized on the Coxyde air base. Forty years ago, the Westland Sea King Mk 48 entered into service with the 40 Squadron. So this year 2016 will be a noticeable jubilee.

Beste Vrienden van de Catalina,

Het is weer tijd om plannen te maken om met onze Catalina te gaan vliegen. Op dit moment wordt de laatste hand gelegd aan het jaarlijkse onderhoud en aan de trainingen.

Het officiële Bewijs van Luchtwaardigheid is weer afgegeven door de overheid en het team van de Catalina is trots op onze dame, met name omdat ze in uitstekende gezondheid haar 75-jarig jubileum gaat vieren.
