First flight of a DH Mosquito in New Zealand

Thx Dave for the information

We dream of it, they are ready for it

Following extensive restoration over the last 8 years, the de Havilland Mosquito FB26 KA 114 will fly later this year!

This is a truly significant event in the annals of aircraft restoration as this Mosquito will be the only one in the world, currently, able to fly!!

On Saturday 29 September 2012, at Ardmore Airport the de Havilland Mosquito Launch Spectacular will take place from 9am – 4pm.

Just found on facebook

‎12.28z EBBR/BRU Abelag tarmac. Touch down of OO-LAC with 1 precious cargo on board..... Tony De Bruyn

Dear friends, as of this afternoon Tony is back home!!!! His very first flight in 2 months :-).

He is recovering very well but still needs your positive thoughts and wishes as the road to recovery is still not at its end...
Unfortunatelly he is still not allowed any visitors, beside his close family, but I am making sure that I pass on all your messages.

To all of you I want to express my personal thanks for keeping Tony in your thoughts.

Kind regards,
Sonja
