yesterday I was @ Antwerp and was able to make pictures of the brandnew Embraer Legacy 450 with registration OO-NEY.

Here the announcement on facebook by ASL from today :

Yesterday, on Wednesday January 6, ASL and Smartair took delivery of the first European Embraer Legacy 450. The aircraft landed in Antwerp at around 11:00AM, ending its delivery flight from the Embraer factory in Sao Jose dos Campos, near Sao Paulo.

This is a very important milestone in the development of ASL and JetNetherlands. We are very proud to be the launch customer of this amazing aircraft along with our partner Smartair!

Le mythique Junker 52 avait repris du service, l'an dernier, au départ de l'aéroport de Berlin-Tempelhof. Les amateurs de vols nostalgiques attendaient avec impatience la fin avril ou le début mai, pour regoûter aux joies d'un vol dans l'ambiance des années 30. Une avarie les force à patienter.

La Lufthansa l'a déjà annoncé: l'octogénaire «tante Ju» ne reprendra pas du service, à la fin mai-début juin. La «tante Ju», c'est le surnom allemand du Junker 52, un des plus célèbres ancêtres volants au monde.
