Congress renames NASA flight center after Neil Armstrong

Jan. 9, 2014 – Lawmakers have renamed NASA's primary flight research center to honor the first man to walk on the moon.

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday (Jan. 8) passed a bill that redesignates the space agency's Dryden Flight Research Center in southern California the "NASA Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center."

AéroBuzz : L'A400M a été déployé dans le cadre de l'opération Serval au Mali

L'A400M a été déployé dans le cadre de l'opération Serval au Mali

L'A400M Atlas a réalisé sa première mission opérationnelle le 29 décembre 2013 en acheminant 22 tonnes de matériel au Mali, dans le cadre de l'opération Serval. Le quadrimoteur a décollé à 10H30 de la BA123 d'Orleans-Bricy. Le vol a duré 6h40.
Cette première mission opérationnelle survient cinq mois après l'arrivée de l'A400M dans les forces, et c'est l'exemplaire numéroté MSN8, reçu il y a moins de deux mois, qui l'a réalisée. L'Armée de l'air française dispose actuellement de deux A400M.

La force aérienne des Pays-Bas envisage la possibilité de développer des activités spatiales. Selon le journal De Telegraaf, elle entend visionner tout ce qui tourne au-dessus de nos têtes.

Les Pays-Bas viennent de créer leur Air and Space Warface Center. Ce dernier est destiné à cartographier les risques et les menaces, mais le lancement de satellites de communication et les explorations spatiales devraient entrer aussi dans ses prérogatives.

Un engin spatial néerlandais fait partie des options possibles. Le journal néerlandais révèle cependant que cela devrait se faire en concertation avec Space Expedition Corporation (SXC), une entreprise néerlandaise qui entend proposer à partir de l'année prochaine des vols spatiaux commerciaux au départ de Curaçao.
