Hoi Yves,

Vorige week was ik met vakantie in het zuiden van Frankrijk en plots dook er voor mij een voorbeeld van een rond punt op.

Op de N7 van Orange naar Avignon, enkele km voorbij Orange, komt men langs de 'Base Aérienne 115 Orange – Caritat' de thuisbasis van het 'escadron de chasse 2/5 Île-de-France'. Eén van de ronde punten op deze baan heeft men op een prachtige manier aangelegd met een Mirage F1C.

Hierbij enkele foto's zodat je kan mee genieten van dit enig mooi rond punt.

En als je dan toch in de buurt bent kan je ook eens gaan kijken in het Musée Aéronautique d'Orange, dit is wel geen echt museum maar veeleer een verzameling afgedankte militaire toestellen. website www.musee-a5e.com

Hier heb ik een oude bekende van de BAF gevonden: de Mirage 5 BA BA 43 waarvan ik de foto's ook toevoeg.

The Hunter crash at Shoreham resulted in a HUGE restructuring of the regulations governing airshows in the UK. There is a lot more involved here than meets the eye.

The Arrows have simply been caught up in the aftermath.

There are certain venues in the UK that now fall under the restrictions of the new regulations as far as airspeeds, aerobatic box dimensions and minimum altitudes over congested areas. Farnborough unfortunately presents violations in the turn around areas due to extremely dense housing close in to the display area.

The Farnborough show seems to be one of the first venues to fall under the new safety regulations.
