Diamond Award of Brussels Airport goes to the 3,500 employees of Brussels Airlines

Following the annual tradition, Brussels Airport Company has presented for the 11^th time the Brussels Airport Aviation Awards. With these awards, the airport wants to honour the airlines and partners which, during the past year, have distinguished themselves in the area of punctuality and performance, environment and safety, development of the network and new routes. This year, the new 'logistic provider award' is being presented for the first time, next to the biennial Diamond Award.

De Koning Boudewijnstichting is begonnen met de verzending van fiscale attesten aan onze edelmoedige schenkers die het project C-119 in 2017 hebben gesteund. Het doel van 23.000 euro is nog lang niet bereikt. U kunt nog aan het project deelnemen door het financieel te steunen (uw attest zal in 2019 verstuurd worden). Our friends of the Brussels Air Museum Restoration Society (AELR) started to restore an 1916 Lorraine Dietrich 8 cylindres type AML 150 HP engine (see pictures below). They are looking for the manual of this aircraft (a copy is good enough) or where they can find this manual

Aviation Art Fair at Knokke-Heist We have discovered that there is no global Aviation Art Fair - and this seems a great shame.  As a result, we'll be holding just such an event at the same time as the AirTrophy, at Knokke-Heist in Belgium - already world-renowned by artists and collectors alike. We expect the event to reach in excess of 100K visitors, of which perhaps 10-15% will visit the Aviation Art Fair. So, if you'd like to show (and perhaps sell) some of your work: Paintings Photographs Sculptures Books Then let us know.  Equally, if you know someone who might be interested, then please pass this on.  The cost of taking part this first year is extremely low (and no commission) - a real opportunity to have works seen (and bought) in the 'right place'. VintageAirRally Dunkirk2Dover      We have a new video for the event: http://www.vintageairrally.com/rallies/upcoming/dunkirk2dover   Taking place 9-12 May, we will Rally from France to the UK. We're racing vintage cars against planes, doing a flyby of the ferry carrying the cars across the channel (whilst they watch and enjoy a glass of Champagne!), using an airfield closed since 1919, having one of the UK's most famous castles welcome our arrival with cannonfire...and that's just part of it. At Dunkirk, each crew have their own luxury tent, and will park their plane or helicopter in front of their door.  A long line of beautiful vehicles (air and land) in a unique, historical setting. Helicopters are also welcome. Two last items included at no extra cost: Entry to the Beach STOL Competition at Knokke-Heist in June. Entry to London Elite on the 12th May, one of the UK's most exclusive luxury brand and lifestyle events.
