La France sous les bombes alliées

Résumé

Au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, les bombardements alliés ont provoqué, entre 1940 et 1945, près de 60 000 morts en France. Entre les sirènes hurlantes, les courses aux abris et les maisons ravagées ou en flammes, les Français habitant dans les sites stratégiques occupés par les Nazis vécurent l'enfer avec les bombardements. 70 ans après, retour sur cet épisode longtemps occulté à l'aide d'une historiographie renouvelée, des témoignages de jeunes Français et des archives colorisées. A travers cette enquête, les dessous de cette guerre des bombes menées par les Anglais et les Américains sont dévoilés. Que s'est-il passé ? Ces destructions étaient-elles nécessaires ?

Airbus a présenté à Bordeaux son E-Fan, déjà montré au salon du Bourget l'an dernier, mais a effectué un vol public en présence notamment d'Arnaud Montebourg, Ministre de l'Economie, du Redressement productif et du Numérique, pour le vingt-cinquième vol de l'appareil depuis le mois de mars 2014.

Dans la mémoire collective, l'image de Louis Blériot est associée à la traversée de la Manche. Un peu comme si la carrière de ce pionnier s'était concentrée sur cette seule journée du 25 juillet 1909. Pourtant, l'ingénieur de l'École centrale de Paris fut entrepreneur avant de devenir aviateur. Il deviendra surtout l'un des grands industriels de l'aéronautique à l'approche de la Première Guerre Mondiale. Son entreprise sera nationalisée par le Front Populaire, en 1936, année de son décès. Gérard Hartmann propose une biographie vivante de ce personnage hors du commun que fut Louis Blériot. Le récit chronologique s'accompagne d'une riche iconographie.
