Aerobatics lesson in the Stampe & Vertongen SV4B reg. OO-SVB.

Probably the best birthday present I ever had! The Stampe is a stunning machine and really is a joy to fly. It brings you back to what flying really means and gives you the ultimate feeling of freedom.....

It was an introduction to aerobatics flying. Performed figures were looping, barrel roll, split-s, stall turns and spins.

Filmed with a GoPro Hero HD 2 - 1024p 25 fps - Head mount.

[BAPA News] : News 20170201: A New Browning .50 in for the B-25

News 20170201: A New Browning .50 in for the B-25

BAPA warmly thanks Mr. Vincent Pécriaux (http://www.ailes-militaires-belges.be/) for the donation of a Browning .50 "aeronautical version" machine gun in quite good condition but incomplete, only the internal mechanism and the barrel are missing.

This machine gun has already found its place. It will be installed in the nose of the B-25 at the front gunner position.

This gun joins the other .50 of our collection, artifact from a crash zone of a P-51 Mustang (44-15016), found in 1991 in Arville near Sart-Bernard.

BAPA currently has two nearly identical Browning .50 "aviation" machine-guns. With these two incomplete models, we intend to realize the drawings of a complete machine-gun and to be able to reconstruct replicas as close as possible to the originals.

Cologne, January 20, 2017
eRules - its first deliverable, 'Easy Access Rules for Continuing Airworthiness', has been published!
EASA eRules has produced its first publication, the 'Easy Access Rules for Continuing Airworthiness', using the existing 'Easy Access Rules' format. The eRules platform provides access to the current applicable rules and allows quick consolidation and publication of easy-to-read documents. This eRules publication offers advanced features, such as navigation through comprehensive bookmarks and cross references, and clear identification of the General Aviation alleviations. This PDF is available for free download.
The EASA eRules project is developed and implemented in close cooperation with the EASA Member States and aviation industry to ensure that all its functionalities are relevant and effective. The next rules to be migrated in this platform will be for Aerodromes and Initial Airworthiness. Online access to the platform is planned for 2018.
